Are you the strategic sparring partner who translates complex procurement challenges into measurable results? At SABIC, you will take charge of various global categories within the Specialties business. From Indirect Materials to Packaging: you will break the status quo, build sustainable supplier relationships, and drive innovation in an international high-stakes environment. This is a role for an interim professional who doesn't just manage, but truly impacts profitability and ESG goals for a global leader.

What will you do? 

As a Strategic Category Manager, you are responsible for designing and implementing multi-year strategic plans for SABIC's Specialties business. You act as the focal point for diverse categories, such as technical goods, business services, and energy. You are an expert in identifying new market opportunities and managing complex contracts on both regional (EUR/AMR) and global levels.

Your focus lies on value creation and achieving the lowest 'Total Cost of Ownership'. You challenge existing concepts and 'single source' situations to continuously improve the business. Additionally, you play a crucial role in crisis management and ensuring global compliance with legislation regarding ESG and carbon neutrality. Through close collaboration with senior management, technology leaders, and production units, you ensure a perfect alignment between procurement strategy and stakeholder vision.

Functie-eisen

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a business/economics related field.
  • You have at least 8 years of relevant experience within the petrochemical sector (procurement, sourcing, or supply chain).
  • Excellent collaborating skillset with business partners to develop annual plans and associated Key Performance Indicators
  • You have in-depth knowledge of the SAP MM module and associated reporting functions.
  • You are able to deliver results independently and proactively in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden

  • A salary up to € 5,000 gross per month based on 40 hours.
  • A contract until the end of this year for 40 hours per week.
  • 25 vacation days per year based on 40 hours.
  • 8.33% holiday allowance.
