Product Industrialization Engineer – Mobile Surgery Systems (IGTS)

As a Product Industrialization Engineer, you act as the vital link between development and manufacturing. You will be the voice of Operations within multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring a best-in-class transition for our Mobile Surgery Systems within the Image Guided Therapy (IGT) suite.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will develop and improve the processes, tools, and equipment of our manufacturing systems throughout the entire Product Data Lifecycle Management (PDLM) cycle. Your goal is to create predictable, reliable, stable, and highly efficient production processes that deliver quality medical technology to the global market.

You will be an integral part of the Product Industrialization Team for IGTS-MoS, based at our center of excellence in Best, The Netherlands. You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where engineering meets healthcare innovation.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Transition: Initiate and oversee process technology development for New Product Generation and contribute to the product/solution technology roadmap.
- Design for Excellence: Drive the Manufacturing input in the PDLM process with a heavy focus on DfMAT (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test).
- Process Engineering: Define and validate process and equipment capabilities to ensure they meet R&D specifications and test requirements.
- Lean Orchestration: Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and orchestrate design-for-lean workflows.
- Change Management: Manage PDLM-driven design changes within Philips factories and at suppliers, including responsibility for MF BOM and routing Master data.
- Quality & Validation: Establish inspection and test criteria for Philips-owned components and assemblies, ensuring full adherence to qualification and release protocols.
- Capex Management: Initiate and execute Capex optimization for initial production investments.
Competenties
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:
- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechanics, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in a similar industrialization or manufacturing engineering role.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience in design transfer and manufacturing transfer projects.
- Problem-Solving Toolkit: Practical knowledge of FMEA, 8D, SPC, A3, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Quality Focus: Preferably experience with process validation (pMap, pFMEA, IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Mindset: A continuous improvement DNA with a result-driven and quality-first approach.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with professional fluency in English.
