In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical design, implementation, testing, and documentation necessary to support mechanical modules and components. You will bring new concepts to market together with an on-site team and offshore development partners, designing, verifying, and detailing parts in 3D and 2D toward final technical product specifications. Serving as the technical counterpart to commercial managers and designers, you will collaborate with cross-functional team members (such as system engineers, function development engineers, application research specialists, and electronic/mechatronic engineers) to deliver highly competitive consumer products.
Functie-eisen
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical product development for consumer mass production (B2C).
- Experience working in international, multidisciplinary project teams.
- Hands-on proficiency in 3D CAD software (Siemens NX and/or PTC Creo).
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical design in plastic and metal, including mass manufacturability aspects (mold and assembly tooling design).
- Experience with FEA (e.g., ANSYS), CFD analysis, and/or other engineering software.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to document requirements, designs, and test procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly develop engineering concepts into functional prototypes.
- Proven track record of applying empirical and theoretical engineering principles to solve complex problems.
