For our client - DAF Trucks N.V. in Eindhoven - we are seeking a dedicated Mechatronic Engineer Aftertreatment.
As a Mechatronic Engineer Aftertreatment, you will play a pivotal role in developing and integrating advanced exhaust aftertreatment systems. Because this domain spans hardware, electronics, controls, and software, you'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to continuously improve current products and engineer next-generation technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Mechatronic Development: Drive development activities in close collaboration with cross-functional internal teams and external suppliers.
- Translate Requirements & Manage Suppliers: Convert project goals into clear technical specifications, working with suppliers to develop, validate, and launch market-ready solutions.
- Lead Quality & Problem-Solving: Execute Six Sigma deliverables and lead root-cause problem-solving using DMAIC methodologies.
- Drive Validation & Release: Plan, coordinate, and guide validation activities to hit key project milestones on schedule.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in and lead Simultaneous Engineering Teams (SETs).
- Ensure Product Excellence: Verify that all components meet functional, emissions, reliability, quality, robustness, and manufacturability standards.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze test results, craft actionable technical recommendations, and present findings to leadership.
- Reporting Line: Report directly to the Engineering Supervisor – Aftertreatment Hardware.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of three years of experience in Automotive Product Development.
- Proficiency in English is required; willingness to learn Dutch is expected.
