As a Technology Writer within the Communications sector at ASML, you play a pivotal role in translating cutting-edge technology into clear, accurate, and compelling content. Joining the Product Communications team during a maternity cover, you bridge the gap between complex engineering concepts and diverse internal and external audiences. In this dynamic, matrixed corporate environment, you collaborate closely with subject-matter experts, product teams, and communications colleagues to ensure all messaging aligns with ASML’s brand, editorial, and quality standards.
In this versatile position, you step into ongoing workflows to source, verify, and shape technology-driven content across web, social media, and digital productions. You report to the Team Lead for technical content and drive storytelling across various platforms. Your daily responsibilities include:
- planning and writing engaging social media content that adapts complex technological topics for relevant channels
- developing and publishing accurate, on-message product pages on asml.com for new product launches
- providing input, writing scripts, and reviewing visuals for technology content productions, such as animations
- reviewing technical content for accuracy, context, messaging consistency, and narrative clarity
- supporting messaging development for new products and strategic product-related technology topics
- collaborating closely with subject-matter experts and cross-functional teams to gather and verify technical substance
This is a fixed-term maternity cover role. You will be expected to quickly step into ongoing work and operate within existing editorial frameworks, processes, and brand governance.

To be eligible for this role, we are looking for a candidate who:
- holds a bachelor's degree in physics, engineering, science communication, or a related field.
- brings at least 5 years of experience in science writing or technology communications, preferably at a (deep) tech company.
- demonstrates proven writing experience across social media, web, and content productions.
- gained experience working in a large corporate or matrix organization.
- submits a representative writing sample alongside the resume to showcase style and editorial quality.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden
- A fixed-term contract with Randstad Professional for the duration of the assignment.
- Period: 1st November 2026 (duration 9 months).
- A gross monthly salary of €7.046,- based on a 40-hour workweek
- Hours: 24 - 32 hours a week.
- Location: Veldhoven (hybrid - 2 days in the office)
- A monthly Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 8.76% of your salary that you can deploy flexibly.
- 25 holiday days; 5 days can be included in the IKB budget.
- A solid travel allowance; an NS Business Card or € 0.23 per kilometer.
