The Dataset Engineer is responsible for creating, verifying, and releasing datasets within the DSM Team. The DSM Team has a key role in ensuring that our stakeholders have access to reliable datasets. By creating and maintaining these datasets, the team supports development, testing, production, and service divisions across the organization.
The Dataset Engineer assembles datasets based on calibration inputs provided by several internal and external stakeholders. These stakeholders include calibration engineers, software developers, test organizations, production and service departments, and external suppliers. Throughout the dataset creation and release process, the Dataset Engineer ensures the required datasets are available in accordance with planned release schedules in cooperation with the Release Officer.
The Dataset Engineer is responsible for integrating the delivered inputs into the datasets, ensuring that software, calibration data, and description files are correctly processed and aligned. To support this process, the Dataset Engineer organizes and facilitates calibration review meetings with the relevant stakeholders to align dataset content.
A key aspect of the role is ensuring quality of the datasets. The Dataset Engineer verifies completeness, consistency, and correctness of processed changes and dataset content, identifying and resolving inconsistencies.
As multiple projects, vehicle variants, and software versions are handled simultaneously, the position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain overview in a dynamic engineering environment. The role is primarily focused on dataset creation, verification, and quality assurance. Technical understanding of automotive control systems and calibration processes is considered a strong advantage.

Profile:
• Bachelor's degree (HBO level) in a technical discipline or an equivalent level obtained through experience.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of the structure and composition of automotive datasets
• Technical insight and affinity with calibration activities and automotive control systems.
• Experience working in a project based environment.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Accurate, quality minded, and detail oriented.
• Able to work with multiple projects, configurations, and software versions simultaneously.
